What I can say about Blu-ray is that it seems the PS3 is the best Blu-ray player out there. At the same time, if you get yourself a decent upconverting DVD player, especially when mated with a TV with some upconverting capabilities, the extra detail in Blu-ray isn't totally worth the $500 investment, at least for now. The difference between Blu-ray and an upconverted DVD is nowhere the difference between DVD and VHS, for example. I haven’t really experienced HD DVD yet, so I can’t say for sure. I'm not a huge fan of F4 either but was at least entertained with this movie. I'm getting close to caving in and upgrading my home theater experience although I wasn't planning on getting a Blu-ray player. Do you think it is worth it and do you prefer the blu-ray over HD-DVD?
