Aliens vs. Predator Requiem: The Predalien Hybrid

If you’ve been wondering what happens when an Alien has a one night stand with a Predator, wonder no longer. What you see here is the Predalien hybrid from Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, the sequel to the less than spectacular Aliens vs. Predator movie that was released in 2004. Contrast this to the rather cool series of video games of the same name.

I don’t know about you, but I think this Predalien hybrid looks pretty freaking cool. It still has the dreadlocks of the Predator, but it’s got that huge chrome dome of the Alien. You’ll also notice the orientation of its jowls. Directors Greg and Colin Strause also mention that Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem will be “more like the classic early Alien and Predator movies we grew up on” and there will be fewer computer generated effects, relying instead on an arsenal of 12 creature suits. Totally awesome, even if there’s no Governator or Sigourney Weaver involved.

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem is scheduled for release on Christmas Day of this year. I don’t care if the first one was cheesier than Velveeta… it’s freaking Predator and that’s enough to sell me on the movie. The Predalien Predator-Alien hybrid is just the icing on the cake.

I worked a few, cold and wet nights on this film. The Aliens looked pretty cool in real life, the animatronics are pretty amazing in the face.
