Thanks for the kind comments, Danielle. I also get the "at least you're home" line all the time, but people don't realize how much more difficult it is to get up in the morning when you know that you don't have to be "at work" by a certain time. I enjoy working in my pajamas, but it's a struggle every morning to roll out of bed.

this is a very well-written article. very balanced. i'd also like to enjoy my leisure time knowing i've truly earned it and am not enjoying something during time i'm losing money. i went part time on august 1st to get some things together and achieve a couple goals. i start another project in september working at home, which will be challenging for me. people say i'm lucky, but having to start work from home at 8am is harder than a lot of people think. i get the "at least you're at home" line.

i had a similar conversation with a fellow entrepreneur yesterday... wonder if it was the same guy or if we're all just feeling it...

I keep no records whatsoever, so now is probably an ideal time to start. As you know from being my superior, I'm quite lacking in the motivation department. It's a weird conundrum, because the idea of working my ass off and making tons of money is very appealing - for the sense of accomplishment alone - but I'm just way too disorganized. It sounds as if record keeping is just what I need.

There are two things that keep me motivated. First off, the money; as you mentioned. Additionally, I make a list everyday that I hold myself to. If I dont finish the tasks on the list, the day is not done.
