Unlike most people with normal jobs, I never truly take a full day off from my freelance writing. If there’s a spare moment, chances are that I will find myself in front of a keyboard, mashing out some article or another. The lines between work and play are definitely blurred, because in the process of researching material for various things that I write, I also find things that are of personal interest. As has become the norm around these parts, I’m mashing together these findings in a tight little package on Sundays. Some people call them speedlinks, but I’m just going to call it some stuff.

So, sit back, grab a latte, and enjoy this lazy Sunday.

Top commentator and super affiliate Zac Johnson has a whole bunch of stuff to give away. More specifically, he has some T-shirts and pens that he has accumulated over the years and, well, he’s not really sure what to do with them. Thus, he wants to share them with you. The good news is that the only thing you need to do to enter is to post a comment here. The bad news is that you have until the end of today to do it.

I just recently found Contest Blogger dot Com, immediately adding it to my Google Reader. I love contests, especially blog contests that are ridiculously easy to enter. For example, to win an iPod Shuffle, all you have to do is write a post that integrates a link to onboardcircuits.com using the anchor text Printed Circuit Boards, mentioning Live Learn Invest somewhere in there too. See, I just entered. On a side note, here’s a post about my USB TV tuner contest too.

Career Ramblings was once run by Jane May and John Anthony, but it has apparently now changed hands, costing the new owners a cool $20,000. Seems like the professional development blog is still in good hands though, if this post about going from employee to entrepreneur is an indication of things to come.

Last, but certainly not least is the the thinking blog. They say that children are the future, but as citizens of the world, it is up to us to properly educate these young folks, not only preparing them for the trial and tribulations associated with living on this planet, but also teaching them how they should be interacting with other people. This video doesn’t tell you anything you didn’t know already, but it serves as a strong reminder that we should all be model citizens… after all, you’re a role model for kids, whether you want to be or not.
