It’s really hard to start you home business. Since there is no discipline and no dragon-boss keeping his eye on you- you relax and start spending more and more time on coffee drinking and web-news reading instead of focusing on you current online project.

Good thought. I have heard that working at home is a paradox: you have all this time at home to yourself, yet you have to get just as much accomplished and you have no guidelines set for you on when to do it.

Personally, I am glad I'm a teacher because the hours I work are set for me. I think working at home is somewhat alluring, but the way I am, I know I would plunk around doing "just one more thing" for myself and never end up really getting into the work. I applaud you.

Michael...i think a healthy balanced 'life-work' balance is important for everyone and what you have written if very true. Everyone should aim to live their lives according to the line "Work Hard-Party Hard' cause all too often someone gets caught up in either too much work or partying and the imbalance causes people to lose control of their lives.
