I’m just about to head out the door so I’m going to have to keep this short and sweet.

As many of you already know, I’ve been writing for Mobile Magazine for a while now, reporting on and reviewing all sorts of mobile technology from cell phones and PDAs to laptops and MP3 players. More recently, I connected with John Chow and have since started to provide my freelance writing services to The TechZone, his hardware reviews site. Well, combining these two interests and clients, I’m off to the AMD/Microsoft Tech Tour 2007, wherein the two computer giants are going to be showcasing some interesting technology and innovations. Seagate will also be in attendance.

Why am I going? Well, I’m not entirely sure. While I’m fairly familiar with stuff about cell phones and MP3 players, I’m not quite as much in the know when it comes to desktop components like graphics cards, motherboards, and so on. But hey, that’s all the more reason for me to go… that and the free buffet dinner.

I’ll try to do a brief write-up when I get back tonight (the agenda is SEVEN HOURS long), and I’m pretty sure that John will have a few words to say about the event too. Who knows? Maybe Stephen and some other dot com moguls will be in attendance as well.
