While nearly all the other blogs out there are taking the opportunity today to “celebrate” April Fool’s Day by telling us that they’re calling it quits or switching up to an exotic lingerie resource site, I’m not going to do that. Instead, I’m going to celebrate the recent success of a fellow dot-com mogul in-the-making.

Ed Lau has been fighting an uphill battle for quite some time, trying to oust some ironworks company from the number one search result for the term “Ed Lau.” After plenty of hard work and lots of link love from the blogosphere, the “real” chest-kicking Ed Lau has captured the top spot in Google.

By the way, if you don’t know who Ed Lau is, you should definitely check out his blog. Here’s an excerpt from the About Ed page:

My name is Ed and I live in the pursuit of all things awesome. I’m best known for my absurdly loud voice, extrordinary sense of style and my seemingly endless knowledge of everything that is completely and utterly useless.

Kudos, dude. Keep up the good work. And it’s spelled extraordinary, not extrordinary.
